Why do I need Bookkeeping or Accounting Services?

Your financials are the roadmap of your business - they are the key indicators of how your company is performing.  (Not to mention, all companies are legally required to keep accurate financial books!)  Plus, come tax time, you'll be scrambling if you don't have up-to-date records.
 
We understand that everyone has a unique skill set.  You might be great at keeping your books organized and simply need assistance interpreting and analyzing your data.  We can create a custom plan for you!
 
If you understand the KPI's of your accounting data but just need help with the busywork of bookkeeping, we have a package for you!

Can I customize an accounting package?

Absolutely - our pre-packaged accounting packages are just a starting point!  During your free consultation, we will work together to choose (or create) a plan that meets your needs.  We don't want our clients paying for services they don't actually need, so we work with each client individually to package our available service options.

Do I even need a business consultant?

If you want to grow your business and ensure that your operations are running as efficiently and effectively as possible, then we recommend scheduling a free, no-obligation consultation to discuss our Business Consulting services.  We've all heard the saying, "You can't see the forest for the trees." In the business world, no truer words have ever been spoken. Sometimes it takes an "outsider" to see the strengths and weaknesses of your business. As a consultant, Jamie will bring her unique skill set to the table and provide actionable steps that you can take to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of your operations.

Where are the Business Consulting Plans?

We understand that every business is unique, so we don't have pre-packaged consulting services.  Instead, we use your Free Consultation to learn more about your company.  Within one week of your consultation, you can expect a detailed proposal outlining the services that we think would add value to your organization.  From there, we can collaborate to determine what your pricing structure and timeline looks like.

Question 5

How will I be billed?

Accepted Answer

Our accounting packages are offered on a no-obligation, month-to-month term.  You will be billed at the beginning of each month for the upcoming month, via an electronic invoice sent to you preferred email address.  Payment is due by the 10th of each month.  We gladly accept checks and ACH payments (sent directly from your bank to our account).  You can cancel your services at any time.
 
For Business Consulting services, we will collaborate with each client individually to discuss services offered and billing terms.

Question 6

What about QuickBooks?

Our accounting software of choice is QuickBooks Online.  As QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisors, we have access to a wholesale discount on all QuickBooks products.  We do ask that all clients use QuickBooks in order to streamline our collaboration.  If you already have a QuickBooks account, great!  We'll transfer you over to our Accountant account, which makes you eligible for our discounted pricing.  If you don't have QuickBooks, no problem!  We will handle your QuickBooks account creation from the get go!  
 
Please note:  If you already have another accounting software, we can assist with the transition.

Where are you located?  Do you serve out-of-town clients?

We have two offices - one in Martinsville, Virginia, and another in Denver, Colorado - but we are happy to serve clients across the country.  We currently provide services to clients in Virginia, North Carolina, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and Tennessee.
 
For local clients, we can meet in-person or via phone/video chat for our initial consultation.
 
For clients located elsewhere, we can schedule your free consultation via phone or the video chat platform of your choice.

Each member of our team has a background in accounting and business operations, and we are QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisors, which means that we have been independently credentialed as experts in the accounting platform.

Jamie has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration + Accounting, as well as an MBA with a focus on General Management.  She has worked in the business world for nearly fifteen years, spanning industries such as higher ed, fitness, nonprofit, healthcare, and small business.  She has spent time working as a Staff Accountant, Accounting Manager, Corporate Controller, and Fiscal Officer.
 
In past roles, Jamie has managed teams as large as 30 employees and has assisted with numerous organizational restructurings.  She has a proven track record of analyzing and improving business operations across an array of industries.  She has helped organizations increase revenue by as much as 51% and decrease expenses by 45%.  She has also improved customer engagement by 42% and grown business offerings by 31%.

Brandon also has a bachelor's degree in Accounting + Business Administration.  With an entrepreneurial spirit, he founded and operated his first business at just 22 years old.  He has experience in multiple industries including construction, entertainment, food and beverage, non-profit, automotive, and E-commerce. 
 
This diverse background allows Brandon to understand a wide range of process flows and business models.  He craves to understand how businesses operate at the "nuts-and-bolts" level.  He is skilled at identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance business operations, helping companies meet and exceed their key metrics.

Do you file taxes?

We don't file income taxes, but we will work hand-in-hand with your preferred tax professional to ensure that your filings are completed seamlessly.  We'll do the prep-work for you, and collaborate with your tax preparer on all of the details.  If you don't have a tax professional - don't fret!  We have a list of preferred vendors whom we'd be happy to recommend, just ask us.

Though we don't handle income taxes, we are happy to file your sales and use tax, meals tax, and payroll taxes.

Do you provide QuickBooks training?

For clients who are engaged in one of our monthly plans, we are happy to answer questions you may have about QuickBooks.

However, as a general rule of thumb, we do not provide training on QuickBooks.
